Aussie movie trader dies at home after a fight with a cat

AUSTRALIA’S biggest movie trading firm has confirmed the death of a major shareholder, and its director, after he died suddenly at his home.

Mark Boulton, who ran movie trading giant Trading Card, was found dead in his Sydney home on Tuesday.

A spokesman for Trading Card confirmed Mr Boulson died at his house in Southmead on Tuesday night.

“Our thoughts are with Mark and his family,” Trading Card said in a statement.

“Mark was a dedicated and committed employee who loved his job and his clients and we will be working closely with his family during this difficult time.”

In a statement to media on Tuesday afternoon, Mr Bousons wife, Heather, said the couple had been planning a trip to Japan with their two children on Wednesday to celebrate his retirement.

“We have been informed of Mark’s passing,” Ms Boultons statement said.

“The family are devastated by the loss of a good friend, colleague and friend.”

Ms Boulons statement said the family would not discuss the cause of death, but were working closely and grieving for their “hero”.

“Mark had an amazing career that spanned a wide range of industries including film and television, as well as working as an investor in a leading Australian film trading company,” the statement said, adding he was a devoted husband and father who was always looking to further his business.
